In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was afflicted with a disease in his feet. Though his disease was severe, even in his illness he did not seek help from the LORD, but only from the physicians.

How often do we remain afflicted(physically, mentally, emotionally) simply because we do not seek help from the Lord. We go to friends, doctors, counselors, etc. when the help we need resides in the one we refuse to seek. I am a firm believer that the Lord will often use friends, doctors, counselors, etc. But I believe our benevolent God is willing and eager to meet our need.
